So. Are we all being good little thumber-uppers? Take a chance. A few things I have learnt from SU's new similarity meter --. I share an interest in space exploration with Judefa, have the same taste in adult humor as the young 13andbored and share a passion for nude art with myself. Which is nonsense.

Yep, that's your Kahlila on the left, in 1971.
She sees herself (still!) as a kind of Cameron Crowe, writing
about rock music, hanging out with musos and beautiful boys.

Yes, she's living on her past,
But only on these pages!
Meanwhile Judefa lives -- in another dimension.

Our friend Fatmac has had it with SU and posted
a grumble that although many readers and friends
sympathised with his cause, none wanted
to re-post his images of fat people.

I agree with him that the obsession with thin is
complete crap, but I can't agree
with him that fat is beautiful.
Plumpish can be, curvaceous certainly
is, but not really fat.
He did not succeed in making fatness alluring,
if that is what he set out to do.
Also, there are some really nutty mindsets
among the obesity lobby, IMO.

I fully agree with him that there is room for more

variety (ha ha), and fatness certainly shouldn't be a
reason to dismiss, reject or ridicule people.
Look at my hero Michael Moore.
He's a big boy! And a brilliant one.

But to pretend really big is healthy is
wrongheaded and smacks of denial.

The er biggest (lol) issue about fatness to me is that
it is a direct result of big business plus marketing.
The temptation of junk food is everywhere, and we have
become conditioned to humungous servings as well.

Sport and fitness is not for everyone, and never will
be, and the rest just eat what is in front of them at
the restaurant, supermarket or, heaven
forbid, vending machine.

But would governments ever act to curb the
huge profits in fast and packaged
(ie additive-soaked) food?
No way.

Shamelessly gratutious pet posting for the
sole purpose of boosting Kahlila's ratings.

All I want to do is save enough money to get to England, and drench
myself in music, theatre, culture, history and all
that stuff I have been STARVED of here in NZ.

I have seen enough hills and been on enough Sunday drives
designed to make me "appreciate the countryside",
thanks Dad, to last a lifetime.

What I want is to walk on cobblestones and touch stone walls.
The closest thing we have to old buildings here is
not much more than 100 years old. Pfff! Pathetic!

But I suspect when I am older I will have more time for this very
green and "peaceful" (read nothing ever happens) part of the
world, and that's why I'm putting some pin-ups here
for you city folks, Americans and all, to drool over.

Reminds me of a bossy little friend who used to
say "Let's play mothers and fathers" but always
got to play mother and keep herself busy . . . dressing
and bathing the babies, rocking them, putting
them to bed, bustling about the house.

I couldn't think of anything to do as father except
come home from work, kiss her on the cheek and
say "Hi chick", then sit down and read the paper.

Tks for awakening strange memories, TJ.
